Darkened skin beneath the eyes is a common skin problem caused by factors such as heredity, lack of sleep, allergies, diet, and sun exposure. Poor venous drainage can contribute to the dark circles too. In many cases, the darkened circles can be reversed by resolving the underlying cause, or they can be concealed with cosmetics.

If the dark circles are mainly due to excessive pigmentation, use of a pigment laser will help lighten the circles. Other treatment such as injection of dermal fillers, radio frequency and skin care products using specialised formulations for dark eye circles will also help. Talk to our doctor today to find out which treatment is best for you.
